Some of the things happening in my life

Lifes been really busy

Since I last posted things have been pretty hectic.
Chels is home from college for the summer. We have gone on a short weekend trip to North Caroline to welcome my son LCPL Jon Savage home from Afghanistan.
Jon and Brandi have been in for the last 2weeks on post deployment leave. I have gone to 1 graduation party and 2 graduations.
I have met Reed's mom (Chels's boyfriend)
Have cooked: chili, honey mustard chicken, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, italian chicken, meatloaf, more mashed potatoes, pork chops, fried potatoes, stuffing, pineapples in brown sugar, 2 lbs of bacon for blt's, 3 frozen pizza's... washed countless dishes... kinda been a whirlwind in the Savage home. I have not done any layout pages in forever but have one rolling around in the deep abyss of my brain. I have made a few cards. Things will start to settle down ... um probably not. I have almost 2 weeks til VBS and a trip with the youth group to Nashville Shores... maybe sometime in July things will slow down a bit.

been making cards like crazy will post more pictures later. This past week I have spent rearranging and sorting all my supplies. Have actually made a bigger mess but it will all be worth it in the end. After working each day i would settle down and look through card galleries. I came across a couple of images and spent the next few hours searching for the image or the stamps.... finally I stumbled across the image I had been looking for ... Sassy Studio Designs ...

this is a card I made for my daughter who is studying for finals at college this week....

My newest 2cents worth card

This is the card I made for my daughter in law Brandi as she leaves to day to go back home to Jacksonville NC. I will miss her so much...
I combined the spinner card and the trifold shutter card to make this card.

This card is the card I made for Julie a teacher at the local highschool for her birthday
Mickey is a sticker and he spins from one side to the other

Wow I can't believe a year has passes since I last blogged.... Life has certainly taken on a Life of it's own... July we all went to NC for the 4th and spent it with Jon and Brandi... home and life returned to NORMAL what ever that is... Jon was deployed to the sand in October ... they came home and we all traveled to Illinois to see my family for a weekend... then back to Tennessee... about 2 weeks later we traveled to NC for his deployment Took lots of pictures but haven't scrapped any of those...

This has been a very difficult time for me as I try to keep this separate from when my oldest son was deployed and the out come of that deployment... I have spent the last 6 months holding my breath and now we have just a little more time to go.

I have since purchased the Cricut Expression... awesome tool... I use it a lot more than I ever thought i would. I would use it more if I had more time...

I finally finished the baby scrapbook... I have found that it was a bit of a pain... most of the pictures were all horizontal. I had very little information which made it very difficult to journal.... Never so happy to finish a project. Will post pictures soon.

I am currently working on a Wedding Album for my youth minister and her husband... I at least have interaction with them and know them on a more personal level so it makes it a bit easier.

I have scrapped a few pages just for me ... well for my daughter but for me at the same time. She is one of my favorite subjects.

I have just started making cards... never knew it could be so addicting. I love to try new challenges and I have found 2 that I really love. Actually thinking about making my own line of cards... pictures to be posted later.

I find inspiration everywhere. For now that is my 2cents worth...
